Introduction

Our tax services include comprehensive tax planning and tax return preparation for individuals, businesses, estates and trusts.   Our goal is to work with you throughout the year so the tax consequences of your financial decisions are understood before the final decision is made.  Our "No Surprises" approach to tax planning keeps you informed of the tax liability from your decisions so tax season isn't a traumatic event.  And for clients that have an old tax problem, we have extensive experience working through difficult issues involving the Internal Revenue Service and the State Departments of Revenue.

Individual Income Taxes

Our firms prepares all types of federal individual income tax returns (1040-EZ, 1040-A, 1040, 1040-NR).  We also prepare income tax returns for all states, including multi-state tax returns.  We have extensive experience with tax issues related to military personnel and government employees.

Preparation Cost

Every return is unique and the complexity depends upon the events that took place during the year, including the purchase and sale of a residence, sale of stock, retirement and marriage to name a few.  The following rate table is an estimate only.  Electronic filing fees with direct deposit are included.  To obtain a firm quote for fees to complete your tax return, fax the completed Tax Organizer, referenced above,  to 410-551-7601and provide us with a fax number or email address.

We offer a 20% discount to low income taxpayers who have a combined income from gross wages, pension or investment income under $30,000.

Type of Form - Fees include Federal, One State Return and Electronic Filing Fees.  Fees may change based upon quantity of documents submitted.

Business Income Taxes

Our firm prepares all versions of the federal business income tax return (1120, 1120S, 1065, 990).  We prepare business tax returns for all states.

Every return is unique and the complexity depends upon the events that took place during the year, including a change in ownership, change in type of entity and condition of the financial records to name a few.  The following rate table is an estimate only.  To obtain a firm quote for fees to complete your tax return, contact us at taxes@kgeetycpa.com.  Provide us with the type of entity, number of shareholders, industry, years in business, number of employees, and statement of the general condition of your financial information (compiled in an accounting system, summarized on paper, etc.)  We may email you back with a request for additional information prior to finalizing the estimate.

  • Inactive Business Return - All Types (no revenue, tax return is required)

  • Active Business Returns -
    • Business or rental information must be summarized.  Fees vary based upon the complexity of the business, availability of shareholder "basis" information, member capital accounts or the number of rental properties. 
    • Fees to compile financial data will be billed at the rate of $100.00 per hour.
    • Additional State Business Returns (Nexus income) will be billed at a minimum rate of $150 per state.  Various returns may be required.

  • Single Owner LLCs - filing as a sole proprietorship.  See Schedule C and Personal Property Tax Return fees above.

 

  •  Personal Property Tax Return - depends on number of assets, acquisitions, disposals or transfers.

Estate, Gift & Trust Taxes

Our firms prepares federal gift tax, estate and fiduciary income tax returns (706, 709 and 1041) along with the final individual income tax return of the decedent.  We prepare the accompanying state tax returns for all states.

Every return is unique and the complexity depends upon the circumstances, including number and types of assets, number of beneficiaries and complexity of the estate or trust.  The following rate table is an estimate only.  To obtain a firm quote for fees to complete your tax return, contact us at taxes@kgeetycpa.com.  Provide us with the type of return that is needed, but if you don't know for certain, provide us with the details of your situation.  We may email you back with a request for additional information prior to finalizing the estimate.
